ORDERING A BIKE
I will need your height, weight and inseam (without shoes). You will need: a tape measure, two paint sticks, and a friend.
Height: Stand with your back to a wall (with feet spread apart 1 foot). Put a paint stick level on top of your head and have your friend measure from ground to stick.
Inseam: Stand straight with feet spread apart 1 foot. Sandwich tape measure between the 2 paint sticks. Pull sticks up crotch (firmly up to bone). Have your friend pull tape to ground and measure. Do this three times and take an average.
Weight: Stand on scale.
I will need to know your current road bike's measurements. (Center to center in inches or millimeters.)
Top Tube: From head tube/top tube junction to top tube/seat tube junction. (If you have a sloping top tube, measure level with ground to seat post).
Seat Tube: From center of bottom bracket to center of seat tube/top tube junction.
Drop: (Bottom bracket below wheel axle) Measure from ground to center of wheel axle. Measure from ground to center of bottom bracket. Subtract bottom bracket measurement from wheel measurement = drop. (Should be in a range of 55 to 80 mm/2 1/4 - 3 1/4 inches).
Stem: Length, rise/drop and type (quill/threadless).
Handlebar Type: drop bar, flat bar, swept back, etc.
Wheel and Tire Size: 700c, 26 in, etc
