![]() The XO (Rough Stuff)
![]() The XO is a rough stuff bike built around a bigger, fatter tire which requires a brake set up such as a cantilever or V-Brake or disc brakes. It can be used for light trail riding, dirt road and light touring, kind of an all-rounder similar to a cross bike, but without the high bottom bracket. Like most all of my bikes, this is a full custom bike and can be fitted to your riding style. I can build this bike around most any wheel size from 20", 24", 26", 650B, 700c and 29". I can make most anything work for anyone, however it is best to use the wheel size that fits your body size. [For example if you are under 5’10", than I would suggest going with 26" wheels to be able to have a better fitting bike with less toe overlap with your fender]. I can build this bike to suit any drivetrain of fixed gear, single speed freewheel, derailleur or internal gear hubs. My standard XO is built of Columbus ZONA butted Nivicron steel with a handmade fork of Columbus Thron tubing that is a straight bladed uni-crown and available in any Tiger drylac color. I also have a brazed option of a lugged fork crown with curved blades [no disc option] along with brazed headtube rings and diamond shaped bottle re-enforcements. If you plan to not use this bike for light touring, then I also have a light tubing option [Columbus LIFE] [no rack mounts].
